Ron Clark Speaks At Agape's Benefit
Against a delightful garden backdrop, The Agape Center hosted its annual fundraiser Giving Wing to Better Tomorrows featuring a cocktail buffet and special guest Speaker Ron Clark, a New York Times best selling author and founder of Atlanta's Ron Clark Academy.
Thanksgiving Basket Give-Away A Huge Success!!!
Agape Community Center, The Lovett School, Publix Supermarket at Howell Mill Road, Trinity's Youth Group and Presbyterian Women were among many who all joined forces to help approximately 550 families have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday in 2009. Each family received a turkey along with can goods and other non-perishable items.
Agape's Fourth Annual Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway held on Nov. 23, hosted hundreds of families from the Bolton Road community and surrounding areas. Dozens of volunteers including Atlanta City Councilwomen Felicia Moore and Claire Muller helped distribute food. Elders danced to holiday music provided by a live DJ, children frolicked and local TV news cameras captured all the action of the day.
