Mayor Shirley Franklin Speaks At Agape's Benefit
The Agape Community Center inaugurated its second decade with a successful gala benefit on Tuesday evening the 29th of April. AGAPE’s first fundraiser, “Giving Wing to Better Tomorrows,” celebrated the Center’s empowering service to the residents of the Bolton Road Community. The Honorable Shirley Franklin, Mayor of Atlanta, was the guest speaker.
Back To School Celebration A Huge Success!!!
On Friday, August 1st the Agape Community Center held its annual Back to School Celebration. Thanks to the Atlanta Thrashers who donated 400 backpacks to the Agape Community Center, and the many individuals, families and businesses in the community, the Agape Community Center was able to distribute 600 backpacks with school supplies to children in the Atlanta Area. Atlanta Thrashers forward Eric Bolton was on hand to distribute and autograph backpacks at the event.
